Buying A Holiday Rental Gîte In France

Buying a Holiday Rental Gîte in France

You have 2 weeks precious holidays and need to choose the right holiday for you – do you often wonder how you can guarantee your precious 2 weeks holiday is a good as you hoped for? This was top of our list when we began our search for our gite business in 2013, as we wanted to buy somewhere we would be happy to holiday in and we reckon we have quite high standards!! We looked at over 20 gite properties before we found our home and gite business and we would love you to test out our theory and enjoy a holiday at Palmerston Gite.

ItHoliday rental gite in FRance is bright, spacious and well equipped without being too fussy, so that you can feel at home rather than afraid to sit down. Relaxing is key when you have such a short time away from home and a pool is a must in the lovely hot summer months – this was the only bit missing when we bought our gite but it was the first thing we changed – a lovely private swimming pool awaits our guests. We have learnt that our French guests enjoy a warmer pool temperature than those from the UK so we have invested in a pool abri/roof which raises the temperature by 10 degrees and we will be checking this out very soon!

We know from our own experience that there is a huge choice of gites across France and choosing the right area of France to holiday in can be a bit daunting.  We found that you can easily underestimate how long it takes you to go places as France is such a big country. France does however have an excellent road & rail network and traffic tends to be far lighter than in the UK and the quality of the roads good.  So if you want a location that gives you a choice of peace and quiet along with easy access to some of the country’s best theme parks then Palmerston Gite is for you. We are located on the very edge of the Anjou and Loire Valley vineyards so you could spend a very enjoyable couple of weeks sampling the wines of the region – we haven’t found a bad one yet!

I’m Sally Crighton and I moved to Genneton with my husband Dave and our dog Lexie in 2013. We’re from Scotland and have always loved holidaying in France and felt it was time to try it out for real – it’s great having guaranteed good weather in the summer!
